Williamson County Sheriff Matt Lindemann Endorses Chang for Leander City Council, Place 1

LEANDER, TX – Stephen Chang today announced that Williamson County Sheriff Matt Lindemann has endorsed him:

“Williamson County is where I’ve had the honor of serving and protecting the public as a law enforcement officer for nearly four decades. Over the course of my career, I’ve served as a jailer, Deputy Sheriff, Department of Public Safety Trooper, on the Governor’s Protective Detail, and as a Texas Ranger. To work effectively in these roles, I learned very early on the importance of being able to work with various local, state, and federal stakeholders to keep Texans safe and deliver justice.

“As one of the fastest growing cities in our county and our state, Leander’s incredible growth requires that we plan for future success in protecting our citizens by working collaboratively with our local city officials to identify public safety concerns and needs as well as foster cooperation with local police departments.

“Stephen has shown a deep commitment to public safety, understands the issues that are faced by the law enforcement community, and will support us so that we can effectively do our jobs. As the county’s chief law enforcement officer, I believe he is the clear choice to help keep Leander safe, and I wholeheartedly endorse him for Place 1.”
